Creator of such works as Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, and even the lyricist for West Side Story, Stephen Sondheim is considered one of Broadway's, and America's, most legendary figures. Sondheim on Sondheim is an intimate portrait of the famed songwriter in his own words... and music. Through the use of exclusive interview footage, audiences get an inside look at the personal life and artistic process of famed composer, Stephen Sondheim.
Including some of Sondheim’s greatest hits: Being Alive (Company), Send In The Clowns (A Little Night Music), A Boy Like That (West Side Story), If Mama Were Married (Gypsy), and more.
Sondheim passed away in November of 2021, at the age of 91. Gretna Theatre is honored to preserve his legacy with this tribute.
