FOREST FIGHTS
Stage Combat/Rapier Workshop led by Dan Burke
Saturday August 29 - 10AM-12PM
Only at Gretna can you blend theatre and nature in this one of a kind combat workshop. Hike the forest trails of Mount Gretna and take a rapier combat class surrounded by trees. Sword fights have prominence in most classical and Shakespearean theatre, in addition to often occurring in outdoor scenes. Class size limited to 10, swords only, and will not include hand to hand combat to adhere to social distancing guidelines. The workshop is conducted outdoors for ages 14 and up. Equipment/Swords are provided and disinfected before use.

DAN BURKE
Instructor
A local professional Stage Combat Director that has worked for over 20 years with Gamut Theatre, Open Stage of Harrisburg, and Gretna Theatre in addition to teaching stage combat at Lebanon Valley College and York College. Dan is also certified in firearms through the Society of American Fight Directors.
